Trigger-Happy Policeman Kills Man Whose wife Is Eight Months Pregnant In Rivers

police officer in the Rivers state police command has been accused of
killing a 29-year-old commercial bus driver, Stephen Udeh, whose wife is
said to be heavily pregnant.

According to reports, Udeh who hailed from Sagbama Local Council Area
of Bayelsa and worked at Ekeki Motor Park in Yenagoa, was shot and
killed by a policeman along Ahoada axis of the East-West Road area of
Rivers state on Thursday April 4th. He was stopped by a group of police
officers who were conducting a stop and search exercise.

An eyewitness said

”It occurred between Ahoada and Mbiama in Rivers State. Incidentally,
information has it that both the 29-year-old deceased and the policeman
are from Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. Now, how to
break the sad and unfortunate incident to the eight months pregnant wife
of the deceased is a problem.”.

His remains have since been deposited in the state morgue.
