A man has cried out as he’s seeking to have his lover evicted after he alleged that she refused to leave his home after what was supposed to be a one night stand.
The man identified as Albert Mupfawa from Zimbabwe, made the claim after he was taken to the Harare Civil Court by his lover, Elina Nyamuzuwe who was seeking a protection order.
Pleading his case before the court, Mupfawa said;
She is not my wife, we hooked up for a one-night stand and she has been returning to my house every day. I feel I am not obligated to buy her food because she is not my responsibility and I am only offering her a place to sleep…She has been coming home for close to a month and a half now and I think it’s about sex. Whenever I go to work she also leaves but she is always coming back and we end up having sex.
Elina, on the other hand, disputed Albert’s version of events and insisted that the two are actually staying together as husband and wife.
She told the court;
We are coming from the same house and have been living together as husband and wife. I want the court to order to him to stop harassing me and threatening to evict me from our house.
Presiding Magistrate Noah Gwatidzo ruled in Elina’s favour and ordered Albert not to evict her or to harass her in any way. The magistrate advised him to approach the courts if he wants an eviction order.
