UEFA has appointed Turkish Cuneyt Cakir referee to officiate the Champions League clash between Barcelona and Napoli at the Camp Nou on Saturday.
Barcelona was held to a 1-1 at Stadio San Paolo in the first leg of the clash in February before football was off the menu for four months.
Cakir was the referee during the Barcelona’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield last year which saw the Catalans crash out of the competition in disastrous fashion.
The referee has been impressive in the Turkish league, he officiated Barcelona’s 3-1 win over Juventus in the Champions League final in Berlin in 2015, which is the last time Barcelona reach the final stage of the competition in five years.
