Two Nigerian Players Contract Terminated By Belgium Club

Belgian club KV Kortrijk have terminated the contract of two Nigerian players of Imoh Ezekiel and Abduljaleel Ajagun by mutual consent despite one year left on their deal.

Both players had become surplus to requirement to the extent that they were demoted to the second team this season.

KV Kortrijk confirmed the termination of the contract of Ezekiel and Ajagun on the club official website.

Ezekiel moves to Guldensporen Stadion in August 2018 and has gone to score six goals and provided two assists in 39 appearances for KV Kortrijk.

Ajagun, who joined Kortrijk from Greek outfit Panathinaikos in 2017 played 74 games and scored 10 goals and recorded eight assists.

Ezekiel has earned one senior cap on 6 for Nigeria and part of the squad for the 2016 Summer Olympics, and Ajagun on his part played only for Nigeria at the U-17 and U-20 level.
