University Of Abuja Apologies To Prince Wayne, D’ Aluta Icon For Omitting His Name In The Just Concluded SUG 2019 Elections
It will be recalled that Mr Wayne Elijah popularly known as Aluta Icon who was in the race for SUG presidency for University of Abuja was reported on 24th April, 2019 to have been removed by the University management following a publication on those who got screened successfully and those who were disqualified.

Later it was gathered that he petitioned this removal to the Vice Chancellor who directed the Dean of Student’s Affair to look into the matter and do the needful to settle Aluta Icon’s grievances.

After thorough investigation on what went wrong, the University management on 5th of May, 2019 admitted that the omission of his candidacy was an error which was regretted. This statement was from the Dean of Student’s Affair Professor Otaki Olanana who was addressing the Dean and Staff Adviser of Law Faculty as Aluta Icon was from Law Faculty and the clarification was needed so as to clear any ambiguities.
The apology to Aluta Icon was also advanced by the management as he was advised to leave the pursuit for the cancellation of the just concluded elections and face his studies.
We tried to interview Aluta Icon to know his next move but he was not available as we got information of his depression and unbalanced state of mind. We later approached one of Icon’s campaign manager Comrade AlutaBlack who said “Aluta Icon dreams of becoming the best SUG president of UniAbuja was snatched away from him with no justification other than a statement that the omission was an error.
There is no justice when you are not or close to an influential person, we the campaign team of ALUTA ICON will take a bow from this but history will speak for the oppressed. The CSO who intentionally omitted his name can go ahead and put his candidate but history will always remember”.

UniAbuja is a very funny school. Zero intelligence from it’s security agency. Just this November Election, there were still alot of irregularities and omissions of candidates and no one is talking. I believe Aluta Icon would have won Aluta Standard if his name was included for him to contest. A leader that every other person is learning from. God bless you jare.
