The protest was led by the SUG president Comr. Emmanuel Akpan and the teeming students of the university of Uyo who came out en masse to protest the continuous ASUU strike and demand and immediate end to strike actions by ASUU that unsettles their academic futures.
Also in attendance was the SA to the Governor on students matters Comr. Akwaowo Clifford who came to show solidarity with the student’s protest and also doubled as a representative to the state Governor Deacon Udom Emmanuel.
A firm call is put across to the federal government to do everything to come to good terms with ASUU demands. Here are excerpts of the protest.
