Villareal Told To Sign Up Omeruo

Villareal have been urged to pounce on Super Eagles and Leganes defender, Kenneth Omeruo to beef up his porous defence line after Leganes dropped to Segunda.

Most Laliga clubs have commenced chase for fresh legs ahead of coming season and one of those ways involved buying players off of now relegated sides as they seek to financially bolster themselves for life in SegundaAccording to Villarealusa, Omeruo has been tipped to solve Villareal poor defence system following his wealth of experience in Europe.The former Kasimpasa talent is highly rated, having taken La Liga by storm despite being slowed down by injuries. Omeruo, though, could prove appealing given his relatively low release clause.

He got snapped up young by Chelsea and was loaned him all over Europe in 6 months at a time, but was finally sold to Leganes (after a year on loan)Villarealusa opined that it won’t be a bad idea if the Super Eagles defender is offered a five-year deal and develop him as Albiol’s heir.Omeruo joined Chelsea as an 18-year-old from Belgian side, Standard Liege, in the summer of 2012 but spent his time at the club as a journeyman.The 25-year-old spent his time at Stamford Bridge as a loanee, with stints in the Netherlands, Turkey, Spain and also in the English Championship with Middlesbrough.Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze also plays for Villareal and was instrumental to the club’s successful campaign in the just-concluded season.
