WAFCON 2022: Super Falcons Off To Morocco For Title Defence

Holders, the Super Falcons of Nigeria are off to Rabat, Morocco ahead of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The contingent departed the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Monday morning aboard Royal Air Maroc.

The players and their officials are expected to arrive at the Mohamed V International Airport, Casablanca at 11.20 am today.

They will then embark on a two-hour road trip to Rabat where they will play all their group games.

The Super Falcons will face title rivals, South Africa, Burundi, and Botswana in Group C.

Randy Waldrum’s charges will confront the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in their first game on Monday, July 4.

The four semi-finalists in the competition, which will run from July 2 to July 23, will compete at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
