Super Falcons captain, Onome Ebi has apologised to Nigerians for the loss against South Africa yesterday. She apologised at a media conference at the team’s base in Ghana today. She said the following at the press conference.
First, I want to say to Nigerians, we are sorry for the loss yesterday. The players are down. . .the players were down, but now, I think, we’ve motivated ourselves. We’ve spoken to ourselves and, em, we know the reason why we are here. We are not here to lose. We are here to retain our trophy and qualify for the World Cup. So, I want to assure Nigerians, they should not give up on us. They should keep praying for us, because we are not leaving here without the cup
