A group, Re-elect Buhari Movement (RBM) has hailed the second term bid of President Muhammadu Buhari, saying that it is only someone like him that can steer the country’s ship to the Eldorado that we all long for in these times.
Speaking to journalists in Lagos, convener of the RBM, Mr. Emmanuel Umohingyang, a lawyer, said his group, after considering what Nigeria had gone through from 1999 to 2015, decided to support President Buhari “because we know that he meant well for Nigeria”.
Umohingyang urged Nigerians to give Buhari another chance for him to conclude the assignment he started over three years ago. These assignments, he said, include the fixing of infrastructure in the country “at a rate never witnessed before”.
An example of infrastructure fixed by Buhari, he said, is the Second Niger Bridge.
“I hope you are aware of massive road construction going on all over the country? Long abandoned projects are being reviewed. Are you aware that Ajaokuta Steel Company is coming back to life after 40 years? And this government has done extremely well in the agriculture sector, making local rice the preferred food for many. This government is steadily moving away from having oil as our only source of revenue… So much has been done and so much is being done. That is why we believe that the next four years will fully concretise these achievements,” he said.
