Wife Of Ebonyi State Governor Showers First Baby With Gifts (Pictures)
Ebonyi State Governor’s wife, Mrs Rachel Umahi was at Mile 4 Mission Hospital Abakaliki to welcome the first baby of the year. The baby girl who weighed 4.1kg at birth was delivered at 000hrs by Mrs Mary Nwojiji Akata. Mrs Nwojiji Akata who was full of joy thanked Mrs Umahi for the visit and the many good things she was doing for Ebonyi women and children.
Mrs Umahi who appreciated God for the safe delivery of the baby noted that children were special gifts. She advised parents to always take care of their children and not leave them with caregivers alone. The governor’s wife advised Mrs Akata who already had nine children to go for family planning. Mrs Umahi made a donation of cash and gift items to the baby and her mother.
The governor’s wife was accompanied by the wife of the deputy governor Mrs Ethel Nnenna Igwe and top government functionaries.
