Esther Kolawole, wife of the speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly Matthew Kolawole, has passed on at 50.
Kolawole’s chief press secretary, Femi Olugbemi announced in a statement that she died early Sunday in a Lagos hospital following a brief illness.
Mr Olugbemi said burial arrangements will be announced later.
The deceased is survived by her husband, children, siblings and an aged mother.
Kolawole was in July 2019 re-elected speaker of the seventh assembly. He was the speaker of the sixth assembly.
