Wizkid Loses 2 Grammy Nominations

Superstar Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has lost in the two categories he was nominated for in the 64th Grammy awards.

Recall that Wizkid was nominated for:

Best Global Music Performance
(For “Essence” with Temz) and

Best Global Music Album
(For “Made in Lagos” album”).

Unfortunately, he lost the first which is the Best Global Music Performance to Arooj Aftab and the second, Best Global Music Album to Angelique Kidjo.

Notwithstanding, Wizkid bagged the Best Music Video at the 63rd Grammy awards last year and stands out as one of the African artists to have won the prestigious award.
