Competition: Premier League
Market: Wolves win
Odds: 8/13
Knowing that three points this weekend could see them break into the
top-four, a high-flying Wolves will welcome Brighton to Molineux on
Saturday afternoon.
Starting with the hosts, coming from behind and snatching a 3-2 win
away at another top-four hopeful in Tottenham last weekend, Wolves are
enjoying what is another glittering run of form. Booking their spot in
the quarter-final of this year’s Europa League thanks to a 7-2 aggregate
win over Spanish outfit Espanyol last week, Nuno Espírito Santo’s men
know that three points this weekend could see them break into the
top-four. Losing just a sole Premier League matchup since New Year’s Day
and with that loss coming against runaway leaders Liverpool, one man to
keep an eye out for on Saturday will certainly be the red-hot, Diogo
Jota. The 23-year-old has found the net in his last three matches on the
bounce, recording six goals on that purple patch.
As for the visitors, hit with a 1-0 defeat against bitter rivals
Crystal Palace at the Amex last weekend, Brighton find the mood in their
camp at a continued low. Still firmly at the heart of a relegation
scrap and holding just a one-point buffer from dropping into the
bottom-three, Graham Potter’s men are now without a win since opening
the New Year. Also crashing out of the FA Cup thanks to what was a shock
1-0 defeat against Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday back in
January, the Seagulls have also failed to record a win on their travels
since the 5th of December. Already shipping a trio of strikes away at
the likes of West Ham and Bournemouth since opening 2020, Saturday could
be another tough test for a Brighton side low on confidence and form.
Bet: Wolves 8/13 to beat Brighton in Saturday’s Premier League showdown
