A woman took to Instagram to show the injury allegedly inflicted on her by a Bolt driver, IgbereTV reports.
She explained that she ordered a ride and saw the estimated cost to be 1,100 Naira. However the driver allegedly chose to take a longer route despite her objections.
She said he ended up meeting traffic at the longer route and by the time the trip ended, the fare came up to 1,300.
She said she refused to pay and only gave him the 1,100 estimated initially so he allegedly attacked her and her sister, leaving her with a swollen eye.
Sharing photos of her injury on her Instagram handle, she wrote;
“Dis happened to me today , I ordered ride 4rm ogba going to ojota d bolt driver did dis to me ,b4 I entered it was 1100 dat was on d app , I told him to pass a faster route he didn’t answer d driver went to pass long journey ND were dere is traffic immediately I told him oga it is wat I saw wen I ordered I wil pay ohhh , he started exchanging words wit my sister , wen we got to ojota bustop he ended d trip ND it was 1300 ,I gave him d 1100 he didn’t collect it b4 u no it he locked d doors den we started shouting wen he saw lastman were around he opened d doors immediately my sister jumped down he wnted to drive off wit me den my sister started shouting den lastman stopped him immediately I got down 4rm d car den I dropped d money in his car immediately he held my sister’s cloth nd pounced her , I couldn’t watch him hit her he faced me ND started beating me till I started bleeding he did all dis to me becos of 200 Naira , most bolt drivers re monsters beware.”
