The bridge at Tatabu village along Mokwa – Jebba road, which collapsed due to heavy rain fall last year, thereby halting vehicular movement from both sides, has been fixed and completed. The Federal Government said the collapsed Tatabu Bridge in Niger State, was rebuilt for N2.5 billion.

The bridge reportedly got an extra 250 and 200 metres access road from both ends.

Minister of State for Power Works and Housing II, Hassan Zarma, during an inspection, attributed the collapse to heavy vehicles plying the road, and poor maintenance culture.

He maintained that the project is part of the Federal Government’s commitment to fixing infrastructure decay.

Tatabu bridge, washed away, after a torrential rainfall, which left all categories of vehicles plying the busy road stranded for days while some trucks fell into the bridge but no life lost.
