Out of the 11 aspirants that were successfully screeneed by the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party in Osun state, only four of them will be contesting the party ticket today at the primary election in Osogbo.
Source gathered that the other seven aspirants had stepped down for one chosen aspirant or the other.
The four governorship aspirants are:
Rt. Hon Rafiu Adejare Bello, former Speaker, Osun House of Assembly.
Senator Ademola Adeleke, a serving Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District
Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, CEO of Mutual Benefits Assurance.
Fatai Akinbade, a former State Chairman of the PDP and former Secretary to Osun state government.
One of them is expected to fly the party flag at the end of the delegate system of primary election today.
