Former England international Paul Robison has informed
Tottenham Hotspurs coach Jose Mourinho to sign Chelsea star Willian this
summer transfer window
when his contract expires at Stamford Bridge the end of the season.

The 31-year-old Brazil international was close to joining North
London outfit from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013, undergoing a medical
before changing his mind at the 11th hour and joined Europa Champions.

Willian set to end his seven years association with Chelsea this
summer after contract extension for Frank Lampard side have stalled with
both parties failed to reach an agreement with forward-looking for a
two years deal.

However, ex-Spurs keeper Robinson believes that the Brazilian would
be a good signing for Spurs seven years after they narrowly missed out
on him.

“It would be a good signing. I think it is a player who Mourinho
knows well. I would be surprised if Chelsea let him go because he is a
top player,” he told Football Insider.

“Spurs have a lot of attacking midfield players and he fits that bill
as to what they have already got. There would have to be a few
outgoings but that is a manager putting his stamp on a squad.

“Implementing the changes and getting the players he wants. Mourinho
was brought in for a reason and Spurs will have to let him do that to an
extent. There would have to be outgoings first to make room. He is very
similar to what they have already got.”

Willian has made 329 appearances for Chelsea and is understood to want to stay in London even if he leaves the Blues.
