Barcelona forward, Memphis Depay, has ruled out any possibility of leaving the club this summer, insisting that he can’t wait to return to the LaLiga giant.
Depay said this while speaking about his future amidst speculations linking him with a departure from Barcelona this summer.
The 28-year-old encountered a difficult past season at Barcelona as he fell down the pecking order in manager Xavi Hernandez’s attack following the arrivals of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ferran Torres from Arsenal and Manchester City respectively in January.
The Dutch star finished the 2021/22 season with 13 goals and two assists in 37 appearances for Barcelona.
However, Depay seems keen to remain at the Blaugrana and bounce back.
He told ESPN (via Marca): “I really want to be back in Barcelona and start again, I can’t wait for that moment to come.
“I’m also going to relax with my feet in the sand somewhere before I go back to the club.”
