Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil will not be leaving the Emirates this summer, according to his representative Erkut Sogut.
The German World Cup winner has struggled form in the last two seasons at the North London side and hasn’t played a lot due to various injuries most recently his back.
However, new manager Mikel Arteta seem not to be a fan of the former Real Madrid midfielder and desperate to see the 31-year-old out of the club especially to help cut the wage bill of his side.
“I don’t think Mesut will leave before the summer of 2021,” Sogut told Fanatik. “He’s got an ongoing contract that hasn’t changed. He will stay with Arsenal. When his deal is up, I estimate there is a 90% chance he will leave Arsenal. Maybe Asia, America, Turkey? Who knows.”
Ozil is one of the highest earners in the premier league on a whopping £350,000 a week and Arsenal will love to free up cash for other signings but will need to sell the German first.
