Steve Kerr’s game-worn shorts from 1997 NBA Finals hit auction block

Since “The Last Dance” began airing in April, Chicago Bulls memorabilia has been very popular on the open market. However, now it’s not limited to just Michael Jordan-themed items.

A pair of Steve Kerr’s game-worn shorts are hitting the auction block. The shorts were from Game 6 of the 1997 NBA Finals when Kerr hit the championship-clinching shot for the Bulls against the Utah Jazz.

The white Champion shorts are being auctioned off by Lelands Auctions. There are currently 10 days remaining on the item and the highest bid is $1,650.

In addition, Kerr autographed the shorts, which could add to their value.

Kerr scored 9 points on 3-of-5 shooting and his game-winning shot came with just five seconds remaining in the contest. The Bulls went on to win 90-86 and clinched their second consecutive NBA title.

The Jazz were expecting Michael Jordan to attempt the game-winning shot. After all, Jordan scored 39 points on the night leading up to that possession.

In recent weeks, many Bulls-themed items have hit the auction block. A ticket stub from Jordan’s regular season debut sold for $24,907.50 on the open market. In addition, a pair of game-worn, signed shoes sold for $560,000 and a signed $15,000 check to Donald Trump’s Indiana casino is available to the highest bidder.
