On Wednesday, three individuals in Argentina were apprehended for issuing threats against Argentine footballer Ángel Di María and his family, stated Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich.
One of the individuals, previously under scrutiny for involvement in drug trafficking, admitted to collaborating with two others in making the threats against Di María’s family.
Earlier in the week, Di María’s family residence in Rosario, northeastern Argentina, was fired upon by occupants of a passing vehicle, leaving behind a written message cautioning the World Cup champion against rejoining his hometown team.
